Easy Escapes Agents Escaped to the Riviera Maya, Mexico
We had the honor to stay at Secrets Silversands and visit the Secrets Maroma, Zoetry Paraiso del La Bonita,
Iberostar Grand Paraiso and the Barcelo Palace Resorts

Our first stop on our day of resort inspections was the Barcelo Maya Palace
We loved the facilities at the Barcelo Maya Palace. The main pool is large and has jets streaming in from above.
The kids pool is a family favorite -- colorful with waterslides and all (kids won't want to leave!)
Walking thru the resort you'll find random Mayan statues... and you'll see the gorgeous beachfront wedding gazebo -- breathtaking! Their Jr. Suite rooms are large and bright .
Marjorie & Daynell admire the children's doorway to the Barcelo Maya Palace's kids club.
We are all impressed to see the large flat screen computer monitor stations. It's a really cute set-up.
Overall we loved the Barcelo Maya Palace and all that it has to offer. It has impeccable accommodations, numerous dining options and it's directly on a gorgeous white sand beach. It's a great place for large groups, destination weddings and families. Staying here gives you the option to not only enjoy this resort, but gives you full exchange privileges to the sister resorts within the complex: The Barcelo Maya Beach, Barcelo Maya Caribe, Barcelo Maya Colonial and Barcelo Maya Tropical.
We visited the Secrets Maroma Resort
We walked onto the Secrets Maroma propertry and were greeted with cool refreshing towels and welcome drinks.
Their Jr. Suite pool view room was cozy with a great view of the pool / beach.
We passed by the swim out rooms (unlike others we have seen -- these are really "swim out" directly into the pool.
Secrets Maroma sits on the impeccable Maroma Beach which is rated one of the top beaches in the world by Conde Naste magazine.
Cathy and Maria from Secrets Maroma walk thru the beach and then we walk over to the amazing Secrets Spa by Pevonia which offers inside and outside treatments.
Overall we loved the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. It's an all suite, adults only resort. Perfect for honeymooners and also great for a girls spa getaway.
We visted the Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita...
The Zoetry is a very intimate resort with only 90 suites in total. The luxurious suites range in size and style -- from the standard ocean view suite with 1180 square feet to the 3000 square foot presidential 2 bedroom ocean view suite. Celebrities love to Escape to this resort -- it's a perfect hideaway.
Zoetry has 2 pools. One of them is a fresh water pool and the other is a heated hydrotherapy saltwater Thalassotherapy pool (very rare to find).
Sushi lovers... they offer a sushi bar in the pool area!
The bathrooms in the spacious suites are incredible. They offer deep plunge pools and a mayan indoor and private outdoor shower.
We visited the Iberostar Grand Paraiso
The check-in lobby's design was quite unique at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso. The jr suite rooms were cozy and the facilities were very pretty.
We had lunch with Paulina at their Playa Paraiso golf club house.
And after lunch we toured the beautiful 18 hole golf course.
Overall we loved the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, adults only, all suites resort. It's fairly new (had it's grand opening in 2006) and the facilities are open and airy with an ecletic neo classic design . There is butler / concierge service for all guests. In fact, they will unpack and pack your luggage if you so desired. The resort is very large and as a guest here, you will have exchange privileges to the sister resorts, Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar , Iberostar Paraiso Beach, Iberostar Paraiso Maya and the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo.
And our home away from home resort for the weekend was the Secrets Silversands...
Sleek, chic, modern and sexy best describes the Secrets Silversands Resort.
It's a perfect size.. not a tiny resort and not mega resort like others in the Riviera Maya.
All of the rooms are Jr. Suites with jacuzzi tub for two. There's a mirrored sliding door that you can open and close for privacy.
Champagne on ice awaited us every day in our suites.
The beachfront bar and swim-up bar ensured we would have easy access to refreshments at all times.
The Himitzu Japanese restaurant was excellent! The indoor Rendesvous lounge was the place to be.
The outdoor bar had a live band playing music till about 2am.
We absolutely loved the adults only, Secrets Silversands and we agreed that it was one of the best options in the Riviera Maya. Although the beach was not very impressive, the rest of the property made up for it, including the amazing infinity pool that overlooked the ocean. The service was outstanding, the preferred club offered us private check-in / out, internet access through the day, a full bar, snacks, a television, board games and a helpful and friendly staff. The jr suites were very large and the jacuzzi tub for two comes with a daily box of insense.
A sincere thank you to the staff at the Secrets Silversands for hosting our event and making it a memorable one. We will be back!!
